Brian Rasic :: RAIN OR SHINE - Capturing the Rolling Stones

Brian Branislav Rasic is Belgrade born British photographer.

The Big World's Press cannot afford a single day without the results of his art practice. Working as an exclusive photographer for world class British Rex Features agency, Brian publishes in Times, Rolling Stone, Daily Mirror, New Musical ExPress, Melody Maker, Q, Select, Big, Uncut, Mojo, Sun, Muzik EksPress, Bravo, Playboy, Vogue, Paris Match, Stern...to name a few.

40 PIX is Brian's artistic follow up of 40 LICKS, the latest stage of the most important wild bunch of the most important cultural phenomena of 20th century - The Rolling Stones .

World traveler whose photo documentation includes everyone from Frank Sinatra to Atomic Kitten, Mr Rasic chose Singapore's Esplanade as the ultimate cultural hub of Asia, to present his artistic contribution to the 41th anniversary of the biggest r'n'r band in the world - The Rolling Stones.

RAIN OR SHINE is organized in conjunction of Esplanade Theatres on the Bay and supported by REX Features,RGB Color and KopiRight and curated by Gradimir Aleksic, director of Orita.Sinclair FrontRoom Gallery.

Congratulations to Brian Rasic, from everyone at Rex Features, on the opening of his Rain Or Shine exhibition at Esplanade in Singapore!

Brian has been working with Rex Features for more than 20 years, and we are proud to represent him.

For those who don't know, Rex is one of the world's leading photographic agencies. We supply photos of personalities, pop, news, and every subject imaginable, to newspapers and magazines around the world. In 2004 Rex celebrates 50 years in business and it's amazing to realise that Brian has been with us for nearly half that time!

Since leaving his hometown of Belgrade to try his luck in London, Brian has worked hard to build a successful career in the highly competitive world of music photography, and is now firmly established as one of the top names in the field.

The very first set of pictures Brian brought to Rex, back in the early 80s, was of a Genesis video shoot. After that he began dropping in at the Rex offices increasingly regularly, bringing shots of all the hot acts of the era - The Beastie Boys, David Bowie, Wham. A visit from Brian is always an interesting experience; his courteous European manners certainly distinguish him from most other pop photographers.

In the 90s, now a "member of the Rex family" by virtue of long and faithful service, his new British passport in hand, Brian became our official rock and pop photographer and, over the years since then, there are few acts that he hasn't photographed -- from Aha and Bananarama to Yes and ZZ Top, via The Clash, Led Zeppelin, and The Spice Girls, and all the others in between!

Brian just loves music, but, above all, he's a passionate Rolling Stones fan; since he started photographing "The Greatest Rock'n'Roll Band In The World" in the 1980s he has made a point of covering every tour the band has undertaken.

The Stones have taken Brian all over Europe and the USA. Now Brian has taken The Stones to Singapore.

The Stones will probably hang up their guitars one of these days. But when they do finally retire, we are sure that Brian, at least, will keep on rockin' -- and Rex will keep on selling his photos to the world's media!

Best wishes for a successful exhibition!
